SBP: Done and done. And done!
Apillon is concluding the official Substrate Builders Program attendance but will continue working closely with the SBP team.
Completing all the Substrate Builders Program milestones rounds up the crucial learning period, accompanied by Parity’s extensive expertise and numerous resources offered to Apillon.
Apillon’s vision has won the support of the Polkadot community. The platform is now leading in simplifying Web3 development in a user-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective manner, aiming to drive Polkadot adoption.

Milestones: crossed off the list
It is time to sow our oats. To plant the seed. To... well, to start using all the knowledge and make use of all the skills honed. But first, we have to show off a bit by presenting all three Milestones, skillfully mastered.

On our way to Milestone 3, we were soon aware it could be completed ahead of time. But we figured why not add some additional features to the list of tasks and use the amazing skillset of the revision team to get as much technical feedback as possible. Yes, yes… we truly are geeks. And we love it.
A condensed review of what was happening for the past two months on the Apillon platform:
Finalized planned tasks:
- Smart contract integration: The Apillon platform now provides true interoperability across multiple chains by integrating Astar's EVM connectivity.
- One-click-deploy NFT collection: Configuring an EVM UX builder to simplify the NFT creation and minting process and eliminating the coding steps to provide a simpler UI to enhance usability.
- Smart contracts pre-made templates: The Apillon platform now offers two more frontend frameworks, NFT website templates VUE and React.
- SDKs — beta version: The software development kits (SDKs) enable faster and more streamlined utilization of the parachains. The first samples are in beta version and can be tested along with Apillons APIs.
Finalized extra-curricular tasks:
- Admin panel on the Apillon platform: Apillon dev-team-specific dashboard view that enables better platform management and maintenance.
- Technical support for RMRK: New ERC NFT standards implemented on the Apillon platform for nestable NFTs.
- IPFS Gateway cluster: Providing highly scalable and robust IPFS gateways.
- Refurbished Apillon website: Updated with new services, pricing plans and other pertinent links to APIs, SDKs, guides and tutorials, platform demos, etc.
- Payments gateway: Integration of Stripe, providing a complete SaaS subscription plan added, ensuring a safe process for plan onboarding.
- Cash cost per user (CCPU): The team has devised a way to automatically measure and account for the costs incurred for each user within the platform.
- w3ndi: W3ndi is an Apillon-built decentralized index of digital accounts that links your web3name (w3n) by KILT Protocol with your multiple digital addresses. It currently supports Polkadot and other popular chains, such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc. W3ndi started rolling the ball by fostering the real usage of Nova Wallet’s w3n functionality. The funds for the project execution were gained through KILT Protocol treasury proposal.
Released into the wild Web3
Becoming a member of the Substrate Builders Program proved to be very beneficial for Apillon’s trajectory in every way — getting feedback when and where needed, polishing up on the performed tasks, finding new partners and coops, and gaining precious lessons on Web3 development.
The Apillon team will use its newly gained experience and skills to continue building a better and more easily accessible Web3. Our commitment to Web3 progress is constantly rising, and we aim to shape a more interconnected and decentralized future.
